The Value of Experience
We’re just going to put it out there: we know our programs may be more expensive than many other driving schools. But we also know that no one can compete with our proven track record for success. In 80+ years teaching driving skills to more than 900,000 Albertans, we’ve learned not to compromise on safety. We teach our students more than just how to pass a road test; we teach them how to be confident, proactive, and safe drivers for life.
We offer 18 hours of interactive classroom lessons — that’s more than most driving schools, and indeed more than than the provincial government requires. Our instructors are provincially certified and get additional in-house training that goes beyond Alberta Transportation’s requirements. Better instructors make for safer, more confident students.
Speaking of confidence, we’ll make sure that both you and your new driver feel that you’ve gotten the most value from your experience with AMA Driver Education. If we’ve delivered beyond expectations, of course we’d love to hear from you. On the other end, if you feel that you didn’t quite get what was promised, we’ll do what it takes to make it right. Ultimately, we want to earn your confidence, no matter what the road has in store.
Alberta Transportation provides us with curriculum guidelines. Our material not only meets, but exceeds these guidelines in our three New Driver programs: Basic, for drivers who have a good amount of driving experience; Premium, for those with some experience; and Ultimate, for new drivers with little-to-no driving experience.
AMA members save up to $140 on a New Driver course — that pretty much covers the cost of a new membership, in case you haven’t signed up yet. And grads get a coupon worth up to $200 off their AMA auto insurance policy.
