AMA Roadside Assistance Towing Distance

Wondering how far AMA’s Roadside Assistance takes you? Although every member gets 5 service calls per membership year, the maximum towing distance per call varies by membership level (Basic, Plus/Plus RV). 

How Far is My Towing Distance?

• AMA Basic membership includes towing up to 5 km, or to the nearest garage
• AMA Plus/Plus RV memberships include towing up to 160 km or the nearest garage
• AMA Premier memberships include one tow up to 320 km or to the nearest garage, and four tows up to 160 km or to the nearest garage

Where Can I Be Towed?

We’ll tow you anywhere within your membership towing distance! Beyond that distance, a per-kilometre rate will be charged. Our Approved Auto Repair Service facilities are a great option, as the repair work is backed by a one-year/20,000 km warranty on most parts and services.

• Your AMA Roadside Assistance coverage starts when your AMA membership is activated
• There's a $40 Instant Use fee for new members requiring immediate roadside assistance (towing, fuel delivery, tire change, boosts, winching and locksmithing). This fee will be collected at the time of service request and members will receive Basic-level entitlements regardless of the level purchased.
